Meet the spiritual leaders who have dedicated their lives to the Swaminarayan Sampradaya
Shree Ramanand Swami, who was Uddhav incarnate, received Vaishnavi Diksha from Shree Ramanuj Acharya in a divine dream-state. Shreeji Maharaj later became Ramanand Swami's disciple and successor.
In Vadtal, on Prabodhini Ekadashi of Vikram Samvat 1882, Shreeji Maharaj established two Gadis after adopting His nephews as sons:
During a notable event, when Suvasinibhabhi noticed divine symbols on young Ghanshyam Maharaj's feet indicating future kingship, He promised to give His kingdom to her son - a promise that was fulfilled through the establishment of the Gadis.
Currently, the NarNarayan Dev Gadi at Ahmedabad is led by His Holiness Acharya Shri Koshlendraprasadji Maharaj. The succession of Acharyas is governed by the historic document “Desh Vibhag No Lekh”, which serves as both a legal document and a spiritual instruction for Acharyas and followers alike.
